Hamsa & Tongue Mandala - by Bryce Holywell (Framed Poster)
As an ancient amulet symbolising the Hand of God, the protective sign of the Hamsa brings happiness, luck, health and good fortune to its owner. In this mandala I have turned this sign into a fun God like character that is companied by the Tongue. I was inspired to create this piece from when I bought a pair of Hamsa necklaces from my local shaman.
These two divine beings release the eternal flames and holy waters out into all creation in life, gifting everyone they touch with their protective powers and benevolent ways. Both characters join ranks with the other beings in my mandala works, all to emphasise the notion that all life is sacred and divine, everything and everyone deserves to thrive in life.
We are all divine creators that matter, harnessing our abilities, the imagination from within our soul can paint a world of pure bliss and beauty, one that we can all enjoy, play in and embrace to our fullest potential. Let happiness come to this heart, let kindness come to these arms, let unity come to these eyes. Let my soul be filled with joy and peace forever.
